If you have a daughter then you will be planning a Sweet 16 Birthday party at some point. It is one of the biggest moments in a girls life. There are many parents who go all out for this particular birthday having a prom like party. Depending on your culture this may be the way you go. There are of course some other themes and ideas to choose from.
- Tropical/Luau Theme: This is fairly popular where everything looks like Hawaii.
- Wonderland Tea Party: I really like this theme because everything looks like the Tea Party Scene from Alice in Wonderland. You can really have a great time with this.
- Spa Party: Set up stations where everyone can get mani and pedicures.
- Scavenger Hunt: Have everyone drive around looking things. This is a ton of fun and can be done in teams.
These are of course just a few of the million of themes that you can plan. As I said before many go the prom like route with everyone dressing up and the event being formal. The girl turning 16 usually wears a white dress (although this tradition has changed during recent years) and she wears a tiara or crown as well. The ideas is that she is queen of the ball.
