If you prefer filling up the tub when taking a bath you can gain two to four extra inches of water depth by unscrewing your overflow port, reversing it, and screwing it back in, according to Reddit user 30daysinthehole.
There is also an inexpensive commercial product we've previously covered that attaches to your overflow port and only allows a small overflow port on the top of the unit, so you'll gain an inch or two over reversing the valve and available for $9 on Amazon. Either way, you'll get a little more hot water in which to soak.
