At the Windows 8 launch event Microsoft promised an app for Dropbox. It?s been over a month since then, and still there is no Dropbox app in the Windows Store. At LeWeb 2012 in Paris the Dropbox team took the stage today and announced that their Windows 8 app is being submitted later today.
The Dropbox app will work on Windows 8 and RT. It will offer the ability to access files, photos, and other media across devices. Uploading files and media will also be supported, of course. Expect it to work a lot like the SkyDrive app.
With the app being submitted today we can expect to see it in the Store early next week. We?ll let you know when it arrives. With Dropbox on the way, and ESPN already available, the only Windows 8 app we?re still waiting for that Microsoft promised is PayPal.
